Datum Indonesia aims to strengthen human rights advocacy, supporting the efforts of institutions and individuals engaged in human rights and humanitarian work to be more effective and accountable by utilizing data, information, communication, and technology.
Datum Indonesia aims to empower human rights advocates and improve their capacities by offering a range of support and services, including: (1) the development of information management systems, (2) both in-person and online human rights education and training, and (3) research, studies, innovations, and alternative advocacy for human rights, all grounded in data and information technology.

The Founders
Adam Pantouw
Co-Founder
Adam is a law graduate who initially practiced law but later transitioned to become a foreign language interpreter. In this role, he helps his clients communicate and collaborate on various development and legal reform projects in Indonesia. An avid reader, Adam has a keen interest in the intersection of human rights and technology.
Atikah Nuraini
Co-Founder
Atikah is a human rights practitioner and educator with over 20 years of experience working in national and regional human rights institutions. She is an expert in designing, facilitating, and evaluating human rights training and learning with a participatory approach, both in-person and online classes. She is interested in developing participatory action research and documenting human rights violations through various methodologies and data management platforms.
Shera Rindra
Co-Founder
Since 2011, Shera has focused on her Communications Strategy and Social Media Consultant role for local and international organizations. She specializes in developing creative strategies incorporating an inclusive perspective and human-centered design for various campaigns and programs. Additionally, she has a strong passion for art, gender equality, and human rights.
Syaldi
Co-Founder
Syaldi has approximately 20 years of experience working on human rights issues and gender equality and utilizing technology for social movements with various organizations and institutions in Indonesia. He has a strong interest in documentation and data management through information technology.
Yuli Asmini
Co-Founder
Yuli was one of the founders of Datum Indonesia. Unfortunately, she passed away in 2023. Yuli was a human rights educator who worked at the National Human Rights Commission in Jakarta since 1999. Her primary work involves various forms of human rights education and outreach, including being a training facilitator and developing curricula, training modules, and manuals. In addition to engaging in educational issues and human rights, she was also interested in the right to information, digital transformation, knowledge management, and other freedom of expression issues.
Zainal Abidin
Co-Founder
Zainal has professional experience in several non-governmental organizations. He has served as the Director of Research at the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation (YLBHI) and Deputy Director at the Institute for Study and Advocacy of Society (ELSAM). Now, Zainal is a consultant for various other governmental and private organizations.

Arin Ardani
Graphic Designer & Illustrator
Arin is a graphic designer and illustrator specializing in storytelling through visual techniques. Alongside teaching animation and illustration at Bina Nusantara University, Arin is pursuing a PhD in Arts Creation at the Indonesian Institute of Arts Yogyakarta. Additionally, Arin has created various illustrations for the Datum Indonesia website.
Charles Simanjuntak
Web Development Specialist
A Web Development Specialist who is also interested in SEO and Digital Marketing. He started his professional career in 2015 and has worked on various projects for website development, SEO, and Digital Marketing optimization. Charles also developed the website Datum Indonesia.
Ellena Ekarahendy
Art Director, Graphic Designer, Illustrator, and Copywriter
Art director, graphic designer, illustrator, and copywriter based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Ellena has over seven years of experience working with various collaborators from both commercial and community-based backgrounds. Her creative work amplifies social, political, artistic, educational, and cultural issues.
Gery Paulandhika
Art Director, Illustrator, Graphic Designer
A graphic worker based in Jakarta, Indonesia. He has experience working in social movement campaigns, human rights, labor issues, and political education through visual communication approaches with various organizations and communities. Since 2016, Gery has also worked as a Senior Art Director for one of the media channels in Indonesia, tirto.id. The logo for Datum Indonesia was expertly developed by Gery.
Hambali Hamdan
Software Developer
Hambali is a freelance digital apps developer with over five years of experience in application and system development for the technology, education, and media industries. He plays a key role as a daily manager in the SINDIKASI Union, an independent union representing creative and media workers.
Muhammad Ahnaf
Database Designer
Ahnaf has over 20 years of experience designing data systems, focusing primarily on human rights research and monitoring and developing psychometric applications. Currently, he works in the Research and Development department of PT Prognosis Mitra Karsa, a company that provides psychology services.
Miftakhul Fadhilah
Finance Officer
Mitha has worked in several civil society organizations and has been involved in financial and office management work since 2014. She has worked at Migrant Care – an organization that focuses on the issue of Indonesian migrant workers, then at Rutgers WPF – an international organization that focuses on gender equality mainstreaming, and currently at Plan International Indonesia – an organization that works on empowerment for girls, young women, and youth. With more than 10 years of experience working in various organizations, Mitha has been with Datum Indonesia since the beginning and has mastered financial management and operational standards that are gender sensitive, inclusive and based on human rights principles.
Nuwiya Amal
UI/UX Designer
Wiya is a UI/UX designer with experience across various industries. One of her notable projects involved collaborating with the coffee farmer collectives Batu Lonceng and Tanjungsari to develop an application that streamlines farmers’ activities during the post-harvest process, significantly impacting the quality of the coffee produced. Additionally, Wiya was responsible for the UI/UX design of the Datum Indonesia website.
Pandji Putranda

Pandji Putranda has over eight years of experience as a senior creative marketing and content strategist in the online media and digital agency industry. Often involved in creative activities related to film, music, and theater festivals, Pandji has explored the storytelling aspect of human interest in every job. He has also worked as a storyboard and sound supervisor for online news channels.

Reza has experience developing information systems in various organizations, both civil and private. He masters various stacks and technologies that integrate with the system. While working, Reza is also pursuing a master’s degree in Information Systems Management at Gunadarma University.
